PROGRAM & ITINERARY

Day 1 (Saturday)

If you asked for a transfer, Jeremy will pick you up at the airport or train station in the afternoon. If you come with your own vehicule, you can arrive at the farm starting from 4pm. Just get some rest from your trip and we will all meet up in the late afternoon for a walk around the fields to meet the horses of the Mas de Peyrelongue. You will then be offered a welcome drink before to have dinner all together.

Day 2 (Sunday)

After breakfast, riders will go for a first ride through the woods and prairies of the farm. You will enjoy the charm of our horses home, 50 hectares of a preserved natural setting. Lunch is taken on the farm. Fresh ingredients cooked with love by Jeremy ! In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit St Cirq Lapopie, voted favorite village of the French in 2014. Dinner at the farm.

Day 3 (Monday)

Breakfast at the Mas. Riders will enjoy a full day horseback ride at the ponds of Puy Blanc, a protected natural area that used to be a clay quarry until the late 80’s. Jeremy will meet you for a little guided walk around the ponds before to share our typical french picnic for lunch. After two more hours of riding in the afternoon, you will have time for relaxation before a special wine and local produce tasting session !

Day 4 (Tuesday)

Breakfast at the Mas. Half day ride this morning towards the Menhir de Bélinac, symbol of human activities on the Causse du Quercy, 4000 years ago. You will ride between oak trees and the typical drystone walls of our area. Lunch is taken at the farm. In the afternoon, you will discover the last original prehistoric cave still open to the public : the Pech Merle Cave. True emotion with drawings dated from 29000 years. Dinner at the Mas.

Day 5 (wednesday)

Breakfast at the Mas. Resting day for the horses at the Mas de Peyrelongue. Jeremy will accompany you to the Gouffre de Padirac, another natural wonder discovered in the late 19th century by french adventurers. Have you ever imagine embarking on an underground boat trip ?
After a lunch at Rocamadour, you will then visit the village and its famous sanctuary, built right on the cliff of the Alzou valley. Majestic views and another piece of human history. Dinner at the Mas.

Day 6 (thursday)

Breakfast at the Mas. This is your last day on horseback with us. An unforgetable full day ride in the Célé valley where history meets amazing natural settings. You will follow part of the St James Way, have lunch in the yard of an 800 years old priory and continue on the ridges of the Causse de Creyssac. For a life-long memory, we will share our last dinner in a fine restaurant located in a remarkable château.
